What is Nationalism?
Nationalism is the concept of one's devotion to their nation and it's interests over those of any other nation. This important concept planned a prominent role in the development of Modern Europe. In the 19th century in particular, a wave of romantic nationalism went throughout the European continent, transforming its countries. Many new countries, such as Romania, Italy, and Germany were created by uniting different regional states with a common "national identity".
